Enrollment Process
To ensure returning students have priority placement, HSN offers online pre-enrollment to current member families approximately two months before each semester begins—both in the fall and spring. Once returning families have had the opportunity to enroll, pre-enrollment opens to new families, space permitting.
For Returning Families:
Families will need to indicate if they plan to return for the following semester by participating in the Online-Pre-enrollment when it becomes available. This process will involve:
- Registering each student for their classes
- Signing up for classroom helper spots
- Signing up for cleaning days
In addition, at least one parent is required to attend In-person Registration Day to complete the enrollment process. This includes:
- Receiving the finalized class schedule
- Completing student enrollment
- Paying semester fees
- Verifying worker positions and cleaning dates
- Reading, signing, and submitting all required forms
For New Families:
Families interested in potentially joining HSN will need to submit a Join the Wait List form. Wait List Form
Currently, HSN operates at full capacity, but usually has some openings each semester. Once space is available, potential new families will be contacted and will :
- Participate in an interview with members of the HSN leadership team.
- If accepted, new families will be able to pre-enroll for classes
- Attend the new member orientation meeting and Registration Day.
Class Placement:
Students are placed in classes based on age unless alternative arrangements are made with the Administration. If a parent believes their student would benefit from being placed one level higher or lower for a particular class period, they may request a change. These adjustments must be approved by the Leadership Team and made before the second week of the semester. Students are expected to attend all age-appropriate classes unless prior arrangements are made. If a student is not attending a class during part of the day, they must remain with their parent for the duration of that time.
